Taking a break from OCA studies

I have now completed the most tasks of this project, landscape drawing. There are still three research points to do and possibly another attempt at the large, final drawing.

But I will take a break now from OCA studies in order to complete my Master’s studies with the Open University. I hope this will be by the end of March 2013. I realized that I was more and more pulled into OCA coursework and neglected that there was still considerable work for the Master’s to be done, before I could depart onto something else.

On the one hand, I’m unhappy because drawing (and the associated struggles about which I’ve written at length…) had begun to become part of my life, and I will miss the challenge. On the other hand, there’s a sense of relief resulting from the decision to focus on the Master’s for now, because doing these two big projects in parallel had brought me to my limits.

Maybe I’ll write an occasional blog article, but basically it’s bye-bye for now, until next April.
