How successful were you in copying the lines from the smaller squares to the larger squares?
I think I wasn’t very successful. Enlarging the image only seemed to exaggerate the errors I had made in the small image. I felt no beauty in the large image and I didn’t like drawing onto a grid.
Are you satisfied with your larger replica of the image? What would you do differently another time?
No I wasn’t satisfied with my attempt. I don’t like the idea of enlarging a small image. I prefer to work in the format of the final drawing, rather than doing the same thing twice. If I ever have a true reason beyond technical exercise to enlarge an image, I will get back to the question and see if I can relate to it more positively. Maybe I just need to experience the difficulties of drawing large-scale first-hand, before I’m ready to get back to the benefits of the grid enlargement technique.
